The home loan financing market in India is an estimated 2 trillion INR market, saturated with options, and dominated by traditional banks. In this market with tiny margins and fierce competition, Bajaj Finserv, the second largest Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) in India, wanted to differentiate their home loan services.

On investigating the home owning experience, we realised that the selection process, and financing processes were very disjoint. Where the home selection process is elaborate, exacting and the consumer has multiple conveniences and choices, the financing process, is one of slow painful paperwork, waiting in bank offices and queues, over many months.

We therefore designed the Homes & Loans Portal that streamlines the entire owning experience by enabling prospective home buyers to simultaneously search for & evaluate financial implication of getting a new home, thus reducing the latency in their decision making process.

A personalised search, exploration of homes based not only overall price but also on estimated EMI, and long term payment options were at the core of the whole experience. This played well by meeting consumers expectations and budget planning. Making Homes & Loans an end to end seamless solution within one platform which set the brand apart from it’s competitors in the market.


A card-based interaction model allows users to access information in a more convenient, comprehensive and personalised fashion. Especially, in a real-estate site where information is quite overwhelming but crucial at the same time, it just fit the bill perfectly.
