Deepak Mallya is an interdisciplinary designer, interested in exploring and understanding new roles the designer plays within early stage research and innovation. He is currently studying Design Engineering at The Royal College of Art and Imperial College in London. He believes the future lies is in the cross pollination of ideas between disciplines; By keeping people in the center, designers must facilitate, communicate these ideas.

He is the founding member of Treemouse Research and Design, in New Delhi, where he lead various strategic and experimental design projects, across fin-tech, electric mobility, and healthcare. He has also a visiting faculty at the New Media Design Programme at the National Institute of Design.

He has previously worked at Honeywell, Cisco, SAP, Jaguar Land Rover, Tata Elxsi, Intel and other companies. His work has won various National and international awards and has been showcased in various events including the Consumer Electronic Show, National Innovation Foundation, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore Planetarium, The Indian Institute of Science.
