An adaptive automotive infotainment system
Today’s Tomorrow is an conceptual Automotive Infotainment System, presented at the 2013 Automotive Grade Linux User Experience Design Contest, where it won the Best User Experience Award.
The Concept explores simplicity, clarity, and subtle beauty to augment functionality. The design drew strength from the fundamentals of design and featured clear and bold typography and iconography to give a rich and lush feel to the interface. Another unique feature was the background of the interface, which featured ever changing and adjusting gradients, depending on the time of day, and the ambient light in the car. This feature provided additional character and emotion to the interface, but not compromising on usability. This feature also reduced glare on the screen and improved legibility of content at any time.
